Our History Began in
Cartagena, Colombia

Roots Coffee & Co. was born from the inspired vision of owners Ginalen Soto and McKenzie Packard, cultivated during a coffee-filled moment in Cartagena, Colombia. Fueling their passion for coffee, nurtured through exploration of over 22 countries and numerous U.S. states, they envisioned a space that seamlessly integrated global coffee experiences. In 2020, Soto and Packard materialized their dream, meticulously crafting their menu, securing distributors, and finding the ideal location in Salt Lake City's Granary District. The distinctive charm of the locale perfectly aligned with their vision.

Roots Coffee & Co., a testament to owners Soto and Packard's global coffee journey, has blossomed into three vibrant locations. With the first nestled in Salt Lake City's Granary District, exuding charm and character. The second thriving in the heart of a lively Sugar House neighborhood, and the third shining in Payson where the roastery is also located.

As their coffee venture continues to flourish, the dynamic duo is excited to share their passion by unveiling a fourth location, soon to grace Washington County. Each establishment is a collection to their commitment of bringing diverse and rich coffee experiences to every corner of Utah.
