June Drink-of-the-Month: Affogato

For all of you new folks joining the Roots family, every month we curate an amazing recipe. Typically the flavor notes are from a specific region in the world. We do our best to emulate that flavor and deliver it fresh to you here in Salt Lake City.

This month we decided to create a delectable Italian coffee-based dessert known as, Affogato, which literally means “drowned” in Italian. It is made with two scoops of Vanilla Bean ice cream and topped with a shot of our local hot espresso. Some like to get creative with this delicious dessert by adding caramel drizzle and whip cream. Experience this classic coffee delight all month!
